Located along the Anacostia River and providing entrance to Kingman and Heritage Islands, the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds are the perfect venue for outdoor entertainment. The grounds are also home to the DC Open Air Farmers Market located in Lot 6 and open from 7 am – 5 pm on Thursdays and Saturdays.
 
Some of the most notable events held on the grounds include: ShamrockFest, , Rock ‘n’ Roll USA Marathon, Broccoli City Festival,  Shamrock Fest and the DC101 Chili Cook-Off.

ShamrockFest, one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day festivals held in the Mid-Atlantic region, features more than over 50 bands and DJ’s on 10 stages plus food, beverages, craft vendors, carnival rides, games and other exciting activities. The Rock ‘n’ Roll USA Marathon, the only marathon run entirely in the District of Columbia, features local bands along the course and culminates with a Finish Line Festival on the festival grounds. 

Broccoli City Festival represents the spirit of Earth Day, community health, and economic development.
