A District of Champions

Events DC’s Sports and Entertainment Division is a powerful advocate for the sports and live entertainment industry in the city. We work to attract and support dynamic, inclusive and engaging athletic, entertainment and cultural events to enhance the region’s economy and provide community benefits for neighborhoods across the District.

Events DC operates a number of premier sports and entertainment venues including the Entertainment and Sports Arena - home to the 2019 WNBA Champion Washington Mystics, Nationals Park - home to the 2019 MLB World Champions, the Washington Nationals, the Fields at RFK Campus which hosts a variety of youth and amateur sports leagues, the RFK Festival Grounds which accommodates major concerts including the Broccoli City Festival, and the historic DC Armory, home to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and Army Ten Miler expos.

Events DC proactively works to attract and engage world-class, professional sports and cultural properties to DC including professional and collegiate soccer, rugby, basketball, tennis, lacrosse and more.  Events DC also hosts scores of smaller scale events in our venues including galas, meetings, trade shows, and private events of all sizes.
